K9 Sergeant Puffer and K9 Sortie

In March 2006 Sergeant Jesse Puffer, was selected one of two K-9 handlers for the Fort McDowell Police Department.  Sergeant Puffer was teamed up with Narcotic/patrol canine Sortie.  Sortie a 2 year old Czech Shepherd, who was imported from the Netherlands to Mississippi then to Arizona. 
In April 2009 Sergeant Puffer was sent to ISS K9-Nightwinds in Bisbee Arizona for a few months to complete his training. Sortie has been assigned to sergeant Puffer for over 5 years. K-9 sortie has been involved in over 70 drug cases for the Fort McDowell Police Department.
Sergeant Puffer is a 6 Year veteran of the Fort McDowell Police Department and is currently assigned to Patrol Sergeant and K9. K9 sortie is the 2nd K9 in service since the inception of the Fort McDowell Police Departments Canine Units.
